This is a place holder on the Society’s calendar when the Society’s Ensemble, Northern Virginia Ukulele Ensemble, will be in Hawaii to attend and perform at this august festival. The Ukulele Festival Hawaii is the longest running ‘ukulele festival in the United States. A music festival for the children, young and old (meaning adults, too), it hopefully brings a global roster of performers and attendees to share music together through this unassuming fun instrument.
Because you’re not performing with the Ensemble doesn’t mean you can’t go. If you can and want to go, then go. Come join us at our rehearsals (watching of course), then cheer us on at our two know performances (Zoo [Jul 11] and Queen Kapiolani Park [Jul 15]).
