Event Type

Be on site no later than 11:30 AM to sound check to ensure best sound set up. Each performance (Society @ 12 noon & Ensemble @ 1pm) will start on time and last approximately 45 min.

If you want to help and learn stage set up, meet Moses Kamai and David Bartell at 11AM prompt. Moses may be on site earlier.

Parking: FREE on Weekends + best is Orange Garage (Zone 500). See image/map below.

Following the NVUS Holiday Showcase Performance will be the Northern Virginia Ukulele Ensemble (NVUE) performance.  The performance is, of course, in the Ensemble style — 3- & 4-, and sometimes 5-part harmonies, fingerpicking, and upscale or uptempo strumming.

Other than soloist style from more advanced Society members, the Ensemble hopes to bring you into the world of the possible with the ukulele.

Bring your family and friends to watch you before this performance and then stay to support your fellow Society members.

Background:  We are in the season of having a jolly Christmas, what a time to have some fun strumming holiday tunes. Every year, Reston Association and Fairfax County ask us to perform at Reston Town Center. Maybe it’s because we draw a crowd and get them toe tappin’ to our rendition of some holiday music, and that we play whole host of holiday genre.

So, Check out the calendar for the other holiday performances and RSVP (book)… then attend the November meetings and get some practice in. If you can’t make all, then there are links to the NVUS Practice Videos on our YouTube Channel — check out the NVUS RTC I & II events for the set list and links to the videos.

If you have any questions, leave us a message via our website OR email using

See you soon!!
